Collins Aerospace is on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Quality Engineering Manager to join our team within Mission Systems in Cheshire, CT.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Quality Manager, this onsite role is ideal for individuals with a proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, leveraging expertise in data analytics alongside an understanding of business and financial principles. What You Will Do:

  • Manage a team of Quality Engineering professionals.
  • Drive continuous improvement utilizing our CORE operating system.
  • Oversee First Article Inspection Performance
  • Work closely with internal customers to assure that all quality requirements are satisfied.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Operations to continuously improve processes.
  • Track, maintain and act on feedback & metrics that indicate departmental & individual performance.
  • Manage employee performance and morale.
  • Corrective and Preventive leadership actions across the site, as appropriate.
  • Communicate with site and Quality leadership regarding metrics and non-conformances.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience in cross-functional team collaboration within a complex organizational structure.
  • Proficien in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data analytics.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Deep knowledge of Quality principles and processes including MRB, Quality clinics, PFMEA, MPR, SPC, and AS9100.
  • IPC-A-610 awareness
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor
  • Knowledge of business management systems: ERP / SAP configuration tools etc.
  • AS9102 First Article Inspection knowledge / NETINSPEC
