The Role
As a Senior Engineer, Collaboration, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced collaboration and contact center solutions across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery with a focus on Cisco Collaboration, WebEx Calling, Microsoft Teams Calling, and Zoom Collaboration. This is a hands-on engineering role that also includes mentoring, documentation, and occasional pre-sales support.

Responsibilities Include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution delivery, including complex architecture, design, configuration,implementation, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with customers to define functional and technical designs
• Lead customer design sessions, effectively setting expectations, understanding business requirements, and representing Presidio with professionalism and technical expertise
• Develop and deploy dial plans, call routing, high availability and redundancy features,and QoS designs
• Solid understanding of E911 solutions (e.g., RedSky)
• Design and implement Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Expressway, SBC, and UCCX (including scripting)
• Deliver enterprise voice and video solutions using Cisco, WebEx Calling MT/DI, Microsoft Teams Calling, and Zoom Collaboration platforms
• Document technical solutions including “as-built” documentation, Visio diagrams, and test plans
• Apply automation and scripting capabilities to streamline project tasks and improve overall deployment efficiency where applicable
• Provide knowledge transfer and admin training to customers
• Partner with project managers and team members to deliver successful outcomes
• Act as a trusted advisor for customers, recommending improvements and identifying business opportunities
• Maintain a strong understanding of Network Infrastructure and Security technologies to effectively troubleshoot and support all components of the collaboration environment
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in collaboration and contact center platforms

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco Collaboration technologies
• Deep hands-on experience with:

o Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

o Cisco Unity Connection

o Cisco Expressway & SBC

o Cisco UCCX (including scripting and design)

o Cisco Emergency Responder

o Cisco WebEx Calling MT/DI

o Microsoft Teams Calling

o Zoom Collaboration Solutions

o Gateways (MGCP, SIP, PRI, FXO, FXS)

o Quality of Service (QoS) on routers/switches

• Experience integrating third-party collaboration tools (faxing, call recording, paging, etc.)
• Proficiency in server virtualization and cloud collaboration platforms
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills
• Ability to lead projects independently and mentor junior engineers

 

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work/military experience
• CCNP Collaboration required or equivalent experience
