Senior Backend Software Engineer, Global E-Commerce Supply Chain - USDS

About the team:

Our Supply Chain & Logistics team is a key pillar of the global e-commerce business, responsible for the selection of goods, procurement, warehousing, inventory management and other business modules. It aims to improve customer experience with warehousing, supply chain & logistics technology, empowering merchants to simplify and expand their business worldwide with dependable and trustworthy fulfillment capabilities, so as to to make affordable and high-quality products more accessible, contributing to an improved quality of life for consumers.



In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.



Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of scalable backend services for core supply chain and logistics platforms (warehousing, inventory, transportation).

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive improvements in supply chain efficiency and business outcomes.

- Drive service performance, reliability, and data security at scale.

- Mentor engineers and set best practices in system design, coding, testing, and operations.
