 Your Role as Field Engineer
As a Field Engineer, you will play a key role in on-site coordination and assistance for all phases of the construction project. Under the direction of the Project Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, you will oversee hourly trade employees and subcontractors, gaining valuable experience and skills for career advancement. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Project Support: Assist the project team in various capacities as directed.
• Project Oversight: Monitor safety, cost, scheduling, quality control, and punch processes for construction projects.
• Quality Control: Complete and update quality control checklists, ensuring proper documentation.
• Material Coordination: Assist with coordinating material deliveries with the Project and Assistant Superintendent.
• Scope Management: Oversee specific trades or scopes of work from initiation through final punch.
• Punch Process: Support the punch process as directed, ensuring project readiness and quality.
• Subcontractor Management: Track and report daily headcounts of subcontractors for required trades, if needed.
• Site Cleanup: Address job site cleanliness by notifying responsible subcontractors with photo evidence and ensuring resolutions.
• Progress Documentation: Capture daily/weekly construction progress photos and save them in appropriate job files.

Our Ideal Candidate for this Role

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience, with formal internships satisfying the experience requirement.
• Skills:
  • Basic understanding of construction terms, fundamentals, and plan reading.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, cost accounting, and job site safety.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and similar programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and initiative.
  • Willingness to accept direction and follow through on assignments.
  • Desire to learn and advance within the company.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Physical Demands:
  • Frequently lift 50–80 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to type, reach, grasp, and handle tools or controls.
  • Perform physical activities such as standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating uneven surfaces.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work above ground level, climb ladders, and navigate under-construction areas.
• Work Conditions:
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, odors, heavy machinery, moving parts, scaffolding, high places, and loud environments requiring shouting to be heard.
