Manager, Application Operations

What does a successful Manager, Application Operations do at Fiserv?

As a Manager, Application Operations you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our application systems. You will lead and manage the Application Operations team, providing guidance and mentorship as well as conduct performance evaluations.

In addition you will oversee the daily operations of application systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. This is a 24/7 support team for our DNA product within Bank Solutions as part of our Financial Institutions Group.

You will have leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop team members. You will also have the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

What you will do: 

• Coordinate and manage incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution to minimize downtime and impact on users
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools and processes to track application performance and generate regular reports
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications
• Ensure all applications comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manage the budget for application operations, including resource allocation and cost optimization

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in application operations
• 6+ years of experience in application monitoring tools, incident management systems, and performance optimization techniques, such as Dynatrace, Splunk and/or Extrahop
• 6+ years of experience in automated deployment processes and tools
• 2+ years of experience in a managerial role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience with monitoring solutions and practices
• Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience in fintech domain
