Summary:
Our Capital Markets team is searching for a Chief of Staff. This role is responsible for the facilitation of departmental planning, meeting management and administration, internal and external communications, and the development of programs and processes supporting department strategies. The ideal candidate will ensure the department sets and manages objectives aligned with Capital One’s objectives. This role interacts with and influences senior leaders and may include ensuring consistent management of all acquisition integration activities by leading the planning, scheduling, and reporting processes for the department.
General Responsibilities:
Assist in management of SVP's leadership team strategy; including owning agenda for weekly SLT and managing ongoing SLT interactions
Responsible for leading revenue generating initiatives across the Capital Markets organization
Assist the leadership team with evaluating new business opportunities
Facilitation of departmental annual goal planning, meeting management, and operations
Work closely with LOB leaders, Relationship Managers, and partner groups to ensure successful identification of new cross sell opportunities and the execution related initiatives
Provide change management support to all aspects of organization, working directly with senior executives
Manage multiple projects which require the ability to manage cross-functional team members, remove obstacles and influence appropriately
Provide organizational development/effectiveness consultation with business area leadership on organizational design, processes, and strategic planning
Assist with identifying new opportunities to improve efficiency across the Capital Markets team and support department specific and broader Commercial Bank initiatives
Own all aspects of preparing monthly business reports and setting the agenda for quarterly update meetings
Work closely with and serve as the key point of contact for all partner groups, including but not limited to: Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Risk, Compliance, and Technology
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Project or Process management
At least 4 years of experience in Communications planning and development, including department communications, leadership team meetings, presentations, memos and reports
At least 4 years of experience in staff management and training
At least 4 years of experience in organizational development and performance management
At least 4 years of experience in Budget management
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or organizational development
MBA or Master’s Degree or CFA
At least 6 years of experience in Project or Process management
Understanding of financial markets and various Capital Markets products (e.g., ECM, DCM, M&A, Derivatives)
