Blackstone is seeking a detail-oriented communications professional to spearhead the development of internal communications within the Human Resources department and manage all internal communication initiatives for the team. This individual will collaborate closely with HR stakeholders and the Public Affairs team to develop and implement a comprehensive global employee communications strategy, enhancing internal connection and engagement among our employees.

Key Responsibilities - HR Operational Communications; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Communications & Content; HR Team Communications; Firm Culture Content.

  • Act as the primary liaison for the group in managing cyclical communications to employees on both a global and local scale

  • Develop a comprehensive plan and accompanying materials to foster/drive engagement with the Talent Development curriculum, promoting the firm's commitment at every stage of employees' careers

  • Serve as the primary partner to the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) team, informing execution of the multi-channel DEI communications strategy to drive our narrative

  • Own execution of DEI newsletters and support communications for our Employee Resource Groups

  • Partner with the HR Leadership Team to develop and execute effective communications strategies and a calendar for communications to ensure alignment with business and talent objectives

  • Partner with Public Affairs to support executive communications for Chief Human Resources Officer, Global Head of DEI and other leaders, including town halls or other speaking engagements, written and video messages, and media opportunities

  • Revamp the firm’s approach to Benefits and Compensation communications, bringing creativity, clarity, and consistency into our promotional efforts for offerings and internal programs. Drive enhanced ROI across the firm's full benefits suite through strategic communication initiatives

  • Partner with Public Affairs and HR partners to lead and execute content development for related Blackstone.com pages

  • Manage the HR and DEI intranet pages, ensuring that all content is up to date to facilitate clear communication of processes and procedures, develop & execute a calendar for communications

  • Partner with Public Affairs team to develop culture and inclusion content for intranet (i.e., employee spotlights, event recaps, etc.)

  • Identify avenues for external storytelling to bolster brand reputation and recruitment efforts

  • Provide presentation assistance for internal meetings, external engagements, and ad hoc initiatives; assist in creating talking points as needed

  • Track and report on readership, engagement, and business results in partnership with HR Partners and Corporate Affairs

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess robust storytelling, messaging, and internal communications skills, along with the confidence to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • 8+ years of internal communications experience, particularly in the HR space

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven storyteller capable of creating compelling narratives and simplifying complex processes for clearer understanding

  • Demonstrated track record of conducting successful and proactive communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of tools, forums and media

  • Strong content-production and technology skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office (especially Word and PowerPoint), intranet and content-management systems, email distribution tools
