About this role

The Operations Plant Manager, Operations will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. They will oversee daily operations of the Plant, including but not limited to assembly and materials.  This role will be responsible for developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.  This position is located in Athens, GA. This position reports directly into the VP of Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Establish and ensure Product forecast is accurate to Revenue Targets and Inventory goals.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

 

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 7+ years of operations experience
  • 3+ years’ of Materials experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/MS degree
  • Able to motivate and lead employees
  • Background in progressive manufacturing management environment
  • Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Six Sigma/Lean processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Able to learn and use software applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
