MAINTENANCE MECHANIC U

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

Under general supervision, independently performs a variety of mechanical maintenance duties in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, machinist, painting, HVAC and other related fields.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION: 

 

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of work experience as a Maintenance Mechanic is required.
• Completion of a trade apprenticeship program.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Operates and maintains all types of electric tools and hand tools, i.e. sanders, drills, power saws, routers lathes, pipe cutting and threading machine, benders, milling machine, soldering iron, snake, drill press, acetylene torch and oxygen acetylene welder.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
