Pay Range: $30-32/hour

The Job: Do you enjoy teaching and engaging children to help them learn, create and thrive? If so, this might be the role for you! As the Club J Jewish, Culture and Hebrew Coordinator you will lead a specialized track of afterschool programming, focused on Jewish Culture and Hebrew language known as “Club JCH.”  You will help build, launch and lead the program serving children in grades K-3. • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on Jewish Culture, History, Traditions, Language and Values with an active learning approach
• Oversee the daily procedures of the Club JCH afterschool program track to ensure efficient daily operations
• Lead and participate in effective interaction and supervision of children in individual and group settings
• Plan and execute special events, holidays, celebrations and cultural activities
• Build relationships with parents, community leaders and local organizations to promote the program and foster ongoing partnerships

• Bachelor's degree in Jewish Studies, Education, or a related field preferred
• 2 years of experience in after-school programming, Jewish education, or youth leadership preferred
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development of Jewish culture, traditions, and Hebrew language (proficiency a plus)
• 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) units or units recognized by Community Care Licensing as qualifying in an afterschool setting
• Cleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check and Medical/TB exam)
• Valid and appropriate California Driver License
• Safe driving record which meets the OFJCC insurance requirements. Must pass drug test as required for new drivers
