Healthy Pet has an immediate opening for a Production II Associate (Automation) on the night shift . This position operates a variety of industrial automated equipment to ensure maximum production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates automated packaging equipment (baggers, sealers, labelers, palletizers) to safely and efficiently package finished product according to customer specifications
• Coordinates with Supervisor and Floor Lead to ensure finished product is packaged to specification. Reviews production figures and work orders with the prior shift Operator at the beginning of shift. Notes peculiarities with product, production, or equipment operations. 
• Monitors equipment settings, product weight, and seal integrity to ensure consistent quality and compliance with standards
• Adjusts equipment to maintain production rates, troubleshoot jams or malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance as needed for repairs
• Records data for production reports.  Ensures timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensures all safety guards and panels are in place during production
• Balance and work to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity, costs and teamwork to achieve positive results in all areas
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. Ensure machines are running properly and all safety guards and panels are in place during production. Refer major mechanical repairs to maintenance, as needed.
• Perform necessary equipment adjustments for production run changes
• Operate forklifts in a safe manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer skills required for production data input and PLC error code troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial Human-Machine Interface control systems (HMI)
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes
• Two years’ experience operating industrial machinery, production machinery and controls in a manufacturing environment
