JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for Adjunct Lecturer positions. Part-time Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy. A Master’s degree in a related field is required. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

The start date for spring 2024 positions is January 2024. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Adjunct Lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all of the positions are filled.
