The starting base salary range for a Data Governance Analyst I is $45,000 to $64,000. The starting base salary range for a Data Governance Analyst II is $55,000 to $78,000. The starting base salary range for a Sr. Data Governance Analyst is $67,000 to $95,000. The starting base salary range for a Lead Data Governance Analyst is $94,000 to $130,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.
This is a multi-level position with increasing levels of responsibility and requirements for each level.
Data Governance Analyst I Overview
This position contributes to the establishment and implementation of Data Governance strategies, policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of organizational data. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to monitor and document the accuracy of our data, drive data quality improvement initiatives, and establish data governance best practices. Without accurate data to support strategic decision making, all other segments will not function properly.
Essential Duties:
- Supports the execution of Data Governance process standards, policies for data management and associated controls for adherence
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate data management practices; monitors and assesses data quality across various systems and databases
- Conducts analysis and maintains Data Governance process improvements and analysis work for departmental or corporate strategy initiatives
- Maintains agendas for regular data stewardship meetings, documents discussions and stores the minutes on the Data Governance Repository
- Contributes to the development of training materials that support the end-to-end Data Governance processes
- Monitors the Data Governance inquiries received and facilitates ad hoc triage workgroups for tickets as needed. Facilitates the intake, review, and act on Add/Change/Delete data governance requests
- Ensures that data adheres to data governance rules and retention schedule to promote and ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, security, and compliance
- Applies industry-standard data governance practices to daily activities including data use review in partnership with cross-functional compliance teams
- Participates in projects and product implementations that impact data; analyzes systems and identifies issues impacting data quality
- Assists with defining data governance goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicators and dashboards metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the Data Governance Program
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
