We are seeking a Software Engineer that will be tasked with working on a team of developers creating a state-of-the-art Reward service for Ford and Lincoln consumers. The Software Engineer will be working on back-end service that communicates with the front-end application. This individual will be a part of an Agile team and will participate in all aspects of software engineering including technical design, development and testing.
What you’ll be able to do:
- The Platform practices Test Driven Development in a Paired Programming environment
- Object oriented development and Java Enterprise concepts Experience with the following tools and technologies:
- Spring Platform (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud)
- Cloud Native Development on Google Cloud Platform or similar
- Micro-services development - Development of Web Services REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOA
- Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and technologies (Tekton or similar)
- Builds on Google Cloud Run (Gradle, GitHub) - Unit testing frameworks
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-end software development Modern web application component-oriented development using React/React Native
- Adobe Experience Manager
- Account services and authentication
- Working with distributed teams in a dynamic work environment
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related
- 2+ years of experience with Java and Springboot (any of the versions including but not limited to SpringMVC, JPA)
- 1 year of Google Cloud Platform or similar
Our preferred requirements:
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Motivated to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
