Your experience includes…
- BS in in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field with 0-2 years of industry experience
- Accurate record keeping of experimental data and maintenance of detailed electronic notebooks (ELNs)
- Adherence to all laboratory safety requirements and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- It's a bonus if you have experience with high-throughput RNA synthesis using automated platforms, or proficiency with automated liquid handling systems and high-throughput technologies

- Actively participating in advancing and evaluating current workflows and contributing to streamlining the RNA production process
- Performing quality control (QC) assays, analyzing and interpreting experimental data, and ensuring accurate data reporting and documentation
- Collaborating with the automation team to develop and refine protocols
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Analytical, and Bioinformatics to support project goals
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the planning and execution of new projects
- Staying updated with the latest RNA research and technology advancements
- Assist in ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory by maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and handling the ordering and receiving of supplies

Simran Bawa, Senior Manager, HTP Operations
Originally from India, Simran received her PhD at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She joined St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow and was hired by Tessera in 2022. At Tessera, her work focuses on streamlining and optimizing DNA and RNA high-throughput production for platform development. Outside of work, Simran enjoys hiking, painting, and reading.
