The Merchant Design team crafts the products and services that merchants rely on every day to succeed on DoorDash. We aim to be an essential partner for every merchant, whether by enhancing in-store operations or streamlining business management. Our team’s purpose is to design seamless, engaging experiences that support merchants at every stage of their journey. With a commitment to design thinking, creativity, and innovation, we bring the heart and soul of DoorDash to life, ensuring the user experience is filled with unique, memorable interactions.
About the Role
As we grow our Merchant Success team, we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design for Merchant Growth & Profitability. Our mission is to empower small and medium-sized restaurants to thrive on DoorDash, stay profitable, and continue serving their communities doing what they love.
We’re completely redefining the insights, packages, and motivational systems that set Merchants up for business success on DoorDash and beyond, and we’re charting new ground with fresh 0-1 product offerings and services that make DoorDash an even more invaluable partner for Merchants.
This role will report into the Head of Merchant Success Design. This role can be based in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York. This role is hybrid, with 1-2 days a week in-office and the rest remote.

- Develop meaningful behavior change engines that scale across merchants big and small, from your favorite neighborhood spots to fast-growing chains.
- Build new zero-to-one products, and drive iterative growth experimentation through close collaboration with product managers, engineers, researchers, content design and other product designers on the Merchant Design team.

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
