Software Engineer, Frontend

The team has experience building billion-dollar companies and includes veterans from Oracle, Palantir, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and Tableau. We have large Fortune 500 customers and are funded by Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, Dell, Bloomberg, and Ram Sriram (first investor in Google). Unlike most startups, our contracts are long-term and we have 4 years of runway to get to the next level.

The ProductWe are building a global operating network that finally enables supply-chain companies to collaborate effectively within one platform. We're building a no-code, automated workflow engine that allows users to fully model their complex operational processes, and we're about to embark on a transformative, cross-company forms engine that will allow truly useful cross-company data interchange. We see opportunities for ML integration to drive predictive improvements, but we aren't focused on that just yet.
The RoleWe are seeking a software engineer with specialization in frontend web development to help us build complex features and scale the Regrello platform. In this role, you will work closely with our senior engineers, junior engineers, and product team to design, develop, and maintain Regrello's frontend React/TypeScript application code—though you will be welcome to contribute across the full stack, too. Our company is remote, but your being located in our existing hubs of San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle is strongly preferred.

Experience we're looking for:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, with 3.5+ GPA
• 0-3 years of industry experience as a Software Engineer
• A builder's spirit (you've built something on the side just for the fun of it)
• Comfortable understanding of React or another view framework, TypeScript, component design, visual design, data flow, CSS, and rendering issues
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for learning and growing as a software engineer

What you'll do:

• Work on our core product with our 15 other backend, frontend, and infrastructure engineers—both junior and senior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Management, and industry experts to build high-quality product features.
• Take on new challenges and responsibilities as needed, and be an enthusiastic team player in a dynamic startup environment.
• Help shape the company by participating in hiring decisions and contributing to our culture of continuous learning and growth.

Technologies we use:

• TypeScript and React on the frontend
• Golang on the backend (with some Node and Java in various peripheral services)
• PostgreSQL for data storage
• Redis for storing application data and caching
• GitLab for storing, reviewing, and deploying code
• Kubernetes for orchestrating deployments
• Slack for communication on our remote team

About the company:

• We were founded 2+ years ago inspired by work done on the Covid supply chain for the US/UK governments
• We have 31 people, with 15 engineers (frontend, backend, infrastructure, security), 3 PMs, 1 Designer/PM, industry experts and sales folks, and our product-led CEO
• We raised a $25M Series A in April 2022 from Andreesen Horowitz and Tiger Global, with enough runway for 3-4 years until we need to raise again.
• We have Fortune 500 customers including some of the largest manufacturers in the world. We are fully remote, but we go to WeWorks in SF, Seattle, and NYC and do ~quarterly "on-sites" with the entire company to bring us closer together.
