SUMMARY: CNAF Squadron Administrative Support

Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager  

§ Knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management procedures and Navy squadron organizational structure/relationships is preferred however knowledge of correspondence and record management procedures used by Department of Defense (DoD) components or the U.S. Coast Guard other than the U.S. Navy is acceptable. 

§ A minimum of three years’ experience in supervisory or managerial position in a U.S. Navy activity (preferred), Department of Defense (DoD) or U.S. Coast Guard activity (acceptable) as a uniformed service member, civil servant or contractor employee performing Routine Administrative support. Personnel Administrative Support Services or Travel Administrative Support Services.

*These are two separate positions and qualification depends on years of experience 


Secretary II

§ Provides administrative support to an individual, team, department or group in an organization. Collect, review and analyze data and prepare reports, charts, budgets and other presentation material utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel or other specialized software. Prepare and distribute reports or other communications on a regular schedule. Maintain files, databases, and archives of relevant records. Screen calls and respond to or route routine inquiries from external of internal sources with appropriate correspondence or other messaging. Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel, and other group activities. May manage expense reporting, invoicing, office supply inventory, or other routine processes.

§ A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Experience with Microsoft Office.


General Clerk II/III

§ Perform various routine and defined clerical tasks in a professional environment. Prepare files and maintain physical or electronic records and documents in required formats. Compiles and verifies information using simple calculations and standard procedures. Input data into a tracking database or system. Retrieve documents or respond to requests for information from internal or external customers by phone or email. May assist with general office tasks such as copying, mailing and ordering supplies.

§ A minimum of 3 to 4 years of related experience. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Experience with Microsoft Office. 


Technical Order Librarian

§ Develop and maintain a collection of technical information and provides research and reference support to researchers, scientists, and engineers. Build an extensive network of technical information resources and contacts from various sources like government agencies, universities, professional and industry associations to obtain the required information. Communicate with researchers to develop and maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the organization’s relevant topics and effectively target technical publications as information sources. Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadate to classify the information. Obtains translations of literature as needed. Support and maintain the library’s technology infrastructure and information retrieval tools, 

§ A minimum of 4 to 7 years of related experience. Master’s degree in library science preferred. Must be about to work independently. Should be able to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.
