Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care, preparing patients for examination and treatment, and taking patient histories and vital signs
Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, administer injections, and perform lab testing and phlebotomy
Provide information to patients to help them benefit from clinic services, and support the Registered Nurse in monitoring and improving the health outcomes of individuals served
Coordinate with Residential RN for hospital visits, discharge planning, and other medical needs, and communicate health concerns to the agency team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, and perform general lab and phlebotomy duties
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable state
CPR certification preferred
Phlebotomy training and previous lab experience preferred
One year of experience in a physician office setting preferred

Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
