About the role

Position Summary

The Project Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the organization. The role defines project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and creates detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. They coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives, monitor project progress and send reports, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion within established timelines and budgets.

What will your job entail?

Job Responsibilities: • Develops project plans, defines scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project completion. • Facilitates communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks to minimize potential disruption or delays. • Manages project integration, scope, time, resources, costs, benefits, and quality and communicates the status, risk, and issues associated with each to the correct levels(s) within the project structure and the organization to ensure that the project outcomes are achieved as defined, within budget and on time. • Monitors project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and reporting any variances. • Acts as a gatekeeper for the executive to prioritize meetings and appointments and necessary materials daily. • Evaluates project performance against established metrics and objectives, identifies areas for improvement, and implements corrective actions as necessary. • Provides continuous guidance to team members in project lifecycle, operating procedures, processes, and practices. • Understands systems, processes, products and the impact to the project and business objectives utilizing Lean and Agile principles. • Implements and monitors quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards and requirements. • Coaches’ others in the Agile project philosophy best practices and supports delivery of training tools and materials for teams to support new initiatives and ongoing product training needs. • Maintains accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation. Work Experience and Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, or related field with 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and a Master’s degree. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered. Licenses & Certifications: · Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI – ACP), Certified Insurance Project Manager (CIPM) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
