Data Privacy Paralegal

Overview:

Six Flags is seeking a Data Privacy Paralegal at our park support center in Arlington, Texas. The primary role of the Data Privacy Paralegal in the Legal Department is to support privacy initiatives, including but not limited to, data subject access rights (DSAR) requests and privacy compliance. This role requires knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations. The Paralegal also provides contract and legal support, as needed, to the attorneys in the Legal Department. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage all DSAR requests for the company.
• Provide privacy support including implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Privacy Program software.
• Collaborate on process recommendations.
• Assist with all privacy impact assessments handled by the Legal Department.
• Provide contract support including, collecting and maintaining records related to contracts, such as signatures, dates and amendments.
• Provides legal support for department attorneys.

 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or vocation or technical school degree in Paralegal studies, IT or a related field is preferred.
• 2-4 years relevant experience supporting privacy initiatives including DSAR requests.
• Experience operating efficiently within privacy platform.
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Word
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle high volume of work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solve skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, prioritization skills and ability to multitask.

Preferred:

• Experience in evaluating privacy risk through privacy impact assessments (PIAs) varying in complexity, policy drafting, understanding of corporate IT systems and data flow, AI assessments, contract management, contract drafting, and ability to operate efficiently within a contract management system.
