Job Title: Data Analyst
Clearance Required: Active DOD Secret
Work Location: Onsite, Millington, TN

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Data Analyst to join one of our long-term Federal projects in Millington, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data analysis of structured and unstructured data to help transform complex data sets into useful information for the Naval Education Training Command’s mission.
  • Analyze and extract key data and information from multiple sources into reports; combine and reformat data using Excel.
  • Analyze and prepare data using graphic objects to enhance worksheets and charts for presentations. Deliver data driven results both orally and with PowerPoint.
  • Perform multiple-level sorting, using sorting options and design considerations in Excel.
  • Create, modify, and format charts.
  • Filter data and manage a filtered list; perform multiple-level sorting, use sorting options, and design considerations.
  • Group and dissociate data and perform interactive analysis.
  • Create and modify some Macro commands.
  • Evaluate and monitor data quality to meet NETC’s information system needs and requirements.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

    Required Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree

    Experience/Skills:

    • Possess Secret Clearance or ability to obtain with our assistance.
    • 2-4 years of proven experience in a professional work environment.
    • Experience manipulating data with Microsoft Excel and Access, in addition to filtering data, working with pivot tables and working with multiple worksheets.
    • Possess a keen understanding of the concepts of databases, with the ability to work with charts and use the list management capabilities of Excel.
    • Experience applying data visualization through different formats, such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
    • Experience with data entry management, data mining, data movement, information capture, and research analysis.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a part of a high performing team.
    • Knowledge and experience with data platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and related is preferred.
    • Experience with Navy or DoD manpower, personnel, training, and education preferred.

     

    Salary and Benefit Information:

    The likely salary range for this position is $66,327 - $75K. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
