Job Title: Mobile Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant – Geriatric Care

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

This field-based position offers a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with older adults in their homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. You will be a key member of our mobile care team, providing phlebotomy and medical support services while ensuring a high standard of patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Blood Collection: Perform safe, precise venipunctures and capillary draws for lab testing in geriatric patients.

• Sample Handling: Collect, label, and transport specimens (blood, urine, sputum, etc.) to labs including Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp.

• Patient Interaction: Deliver warm, compassionate service while clearly explaining procedures to help reduce patient anxiety.

• Clinical Testing: Administer basic diagnostic screenings as needed.

• Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.

• Equipment Management: Organize and maintain medical and phlebotomy equipment; ensure all sharps and waste are disposed of properly.

Requirements

• Active and Valid Phlebotomy License – REQUIRED

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist working with geriatric patients – REQUIRED

• Medical Assistant Diploma – Preferred

• Experience working in mobile care, home health, or assisted living facilities is a plus

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

• Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout San Jose and surrounding areas
