LPL Financial technology team is looking for a proven leader to lead a highly engaged team focused on working collaboratively with Technology and business teams to ensure that end user computing technology solutions deliver exceptional onboarding and ongoing collaborative experiences supporting the globally disperse digital workforce. This function requires the incoming leader to establish the measures driving Operational Excellence while sharing a compelling vision supporting the work force needs for the future. The function includes but not limited to Desktop/Laptop, End user devices, VDI, M365, Employee engagement/Collaboration tools, etc.,
The VPII, End User Workplace Technology will have the leadership skills, technical expertise, communication skills and collaborative approach to provide technology solutions aligned with LPL corporate initiatives and paving the way to deliver the best in the industry experiences to our employees and Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the End User Computing team to be a high performing customer-focused technology team that executes well and provides thought leadership in providing an extraordinary end user experience.
- Provide engineering, design, implementation, and support of end user solutions, across a range of devices including Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Maintain strong knowledge of emerging technologies and drive innovation as a competitive advantage.
- Develop agile approach to infrastructure to enable rapid prototyping of new capabilities.
- Ensure proper Platform Management of the end user environment including 3-year strategic roadmaps focused on performance, resiliency, and ease of use. Ensure execution of proper lifecycle management, patching, monitoring/instrumentation, and ongoing supportability.
- Independently drive performance and efficiency improvements within assigned scope and across the technology organization.
- Overall talent management of the End User Computing Team, including performance management, feedback, career development, mentor counseling, and resource management.
- Oversee the Service/Contract/SLA for technology providers.
- Interface with vendors and partners to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all equipment and software.
- Coordinate with the Technology vendor mgt and the procurement team for purchasing and vendor contracts.
- Build strong customer / stakeholder relationships across Infrastructure, Operations, Information Security, business teams and third-party service providers to optimize key results.
- Conduct root cause analysis/post mortem meetings after impactful incidents for lessons learned and preventive recurrence.
- Integrate reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics packages and related information for IT leadership and senior management.
- On call 24/7/365, ensuring fast and effective 24x7 support for assigned technologies with excellent vendor access and escalation

Learn the LPL business functions, gather an understanding of the technology landscape and operational support functions. Meet with the executive leadership across technology and business to gain insights into the priorities (OKRs), opportunities to help frame the strategy to drive Operational Excellence and present a vision to effectively promote highly engaged future workforce.

Requirements
- 15 or more years’ experience in increasing levels of responsibility managing technology solutions, preferably in technology and/or financial services industry providing high-performing, robust solutions
- Minimum 12 years’ experience with end user workplace technology, Collaboration tools, budget management, project management, vendor management
- Experience designing and implementing innovative solutions enabling end users to effectively work wherever they are
- Experience in vendor selection and contractor management
- Accountable, self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Highly data and metrics driven supporting the decision making process
- Strong technical knowledge of end user computing and customer focuses to deliver exceptional experiences while contributing to lowering operational expenses
