We are adding a full-time Kennel Assistant to our team! Our kennel staff is responsible for providing a clean, efficient, and healthy environment for the animals being treated at the hospital. In addition to our great benefits package, you will enjoy employee discounts and a uniform allowance.

Doc-Side Veterinary Medical Center is a progressive, small animal hospital located in historic Fells Point, MD. We proudly offer some of the most advanced veterinary medical care available today, including preventative care & support for all life stages, digital radiography & in-house ultrasonography, advanced soft tissue, orthopedic & minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, as well as dentistry and oral surgery. 

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Safe handling and restraint of patients using Fear Free techniques
• Cleaning kennels and Exam Room
• Cleaning facility, inside and outside
• Laundry
• Vacuuming
• Moping
• Restocking and monitoring inventory
• Assisting medical staff in outpatient and surgical procedures including monitoring
• Walking and exercising
• Feeding and watering

What You'll Bring:

• • Previous experience handling cats and dogs 
• Experience in cleaning is a plus 
• Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects 
• A sense of fun and teamwork – Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply 😊 
• Dependable and able to work independently 
• The ability to monitor pets 
• A willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for hospitalized pets
