JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Student/Intern position to work in the Power Delivery organization. This position will support development of Asset Management programs and projects for the substations and the transmission system. This is open to engineering students, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines are preferred. The student will be a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who will receive practical work experience in their field of study.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Assisting engineers in day to day activities including:

• Transmission Line  and substation database management
• Support of Business Analyst processes within Project Controls through data mining and reporting, as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations
• Validate estimating prices and equipment units, ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects
• Participate in planning and reliability meetings.
• Work on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability.
• Responding to equipment failures
• Support the analysis and implementation of new technology to support asset management of transmission and distribution.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position

• Pursing Undergrad or Master's Degree in Engineering.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher required (on a 4.0 scale).
