Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will act as the team lead in designing and developing advanced solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications, as well as coach and mentor team members.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
This position is crucial for optimizing and managing Business Intelligence (BI) cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and enhancing system performance. This role encompasses several niche skills that are essential for our organization's success.
 

The BI Administrator plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing our cloud-based analytics environment. This position focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of business intelligence operations through a combination of infrastructure management, automation, and compliance oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Automation: Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure, and support the migration of CI/CD pipelines to GitLab to streamline deployment and version control.
  • Business Intelligence Enablement: Administer AWS QuickSight, including setup and Innovation Lab onboarding, to empower teams with self-service analytics and data visualization tools.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead OS patching and Desktop upgrade initiatives, while managing change, incident, and ticket workflows (Splunk, CLAM, ITSR) to ensure system stability.
  • Governance & Optimization: Enforce compliance processes, implement resiliency strategies, and drive cost optimization efforts across BI platforms.
  • Process Efficiency: Oversee and improve the Path-to-Production (P2P) process to support financial and operational alignment.

The Enterprise Platforms - Technology Engineering - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Apply your advanced skills and knowledge to develop solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components.
  • Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms and account for interrelated functionality and processes when developing designs.
  • Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions and lead the team in addressing identified issues.

  • 4 years


Skills

  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
  • Experience monitoring and managing operation systems (OS), and staying current on patches, upgrades, and other elements of the OS
  • Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
  • Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
  • Operational Excellence including improving and overseeing operations
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information


Tools

  • Skilled in using UNIX
  • Skilled in SQL

  • Experience using APIs for developing or programming software
  • Skilled in using REST API
  • Skilled in Python object-oriented programming

DESIRED SKILLS AND TOOLS

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
