Job Summary
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as an assistant in all activities related to GMP shipping/receiving processes and pest control in support of BPD operations.
• Monitor the GMP Shipping email group for requests from users.
• Pest Control walkthroughs, PMs, and report work orders as needed -
• Complete the day of shipment pack-outs including completion of shipping checklists in accordance with pack-out diagrams in GMP SOPs.
• Periodically coordinate shipping date and time with all related parties including notifying sender and receiver of expected ship date for confirmation.
• Coordinate with the R&D Shipping department as needed on the quantity of common supplies for upcoming shipments in order to ensure the appropriate number of items are in stock and adequately prepared.
• Maintain and report GMP stock levels of shippers and other packing materials. Occasional ordering of common shipping supplies.
• Remain current on company GMP training.
• Understand and ensure audit/inspection readiness.
• Gain knowledge of SAP software to check, update, and close out work orders as assigned.
• Work in coordination with GMP Import/Export manager to maintain and improve GMP adjacent areas of ownership.
Requirements/Qualifications
• Shipping and receiving experience strongly preferred
• Experience in the Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical industry (including experience in distribution of pharmaceutical materials) is a plus
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects
• Must have a valid driver's license in order to travel between BPD facilities to complete the pack out where the product is manufactured or stored.
• Project and process management experience a plus
