Responsibilities

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist for Northside Hospital’s Choice + Program assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology, and other miscellaneous procedures by operating the physiologic / hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED: 

 

Education/Experience:

a. One (1) year prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology) OR

b. Two (2) years prior diagnostic lab experience (Cath/Radiology) OR

c. Associates Degree in a Health Science Program OR

d. Completion of an accredited CVT/Radiology Technology program with appropriate specialization

 

AND

Certification

a. American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification OR

b. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within two (2) years of hire or transition

 

OR

Three (3) years of prior Interventional experience (Cath/Radiology)

Must meet competency level requirements for the Choice+ Program.

 

PREFERRED: 

Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in interventional cardiac cath lab and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).

A minimum of one (1) year of travel experience with an external or internal agency program (excluding float pools).
