Nemours is seeking an anesthesia tech to join our Florida Team!
The anesthesia technician serves as an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team. She/he assists the licensed anesthesia providers in various settings, performing duties under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and /or Registered Nurse.
This position provides support for surgical/procedural cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. The anesthesia tech performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment. Cleans, disinfects, sends for sterilization, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies. The position performs as an unlicensed, trained, assistive person and completes technical duties as they pertain to anesthesia support.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- ACLS/PALS preferred National certification as CER.A.T. or CER.A.T.T. from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred
- BLS required upon hire
- 1 year Prior experience in an ambulatory or acute care hospital in Surgical or Perioperative Services
