Sales and Marketing - National Sales Manager

Position Summary
The National Sales Manager drives group sales revenue by building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring full account penetration across assigned markets.

Key Responsibilities
• Proactively source and close new group business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
• Build long-term relationships with clients through consistent communication and exceptional service.
• Represent the property at industry events, trade shows, and sales blitzes.
• Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals, and coordinate site visits and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to plan and execute successful group events.
• Maintain accurate records in sales systems and participate in sales meetings and training.
• Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to team development.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of hotel group sales experience, preferably across diverse markets (Corporate, SMERF, etc.).
• Proven ability to negotiate and close sales in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; Delphi experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical & Work Environment
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Role requires visual acuity for computer work and attention to detail.
• Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to noise, odors, or outdoor elements.
