We are hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team! This position oversees the activities of all production. Monitor safety, staffing, scheduling, mentoring, corrective action and problem solving.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• This position oversees shift production and support group activities to produce high quality aluminum die castings following established procedures and work instructions. 
• This position contributes directly to manufacturing goals in a highly participatory environment and must be able to assume the Value Stream Manager responsibilities as required.
• Responsible for performance evaluation, disciplinary action, training and supervision of production department employees. This position directly supervises employees on assigned shift in the Die Cast and Machining Departments. 
• Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 
• Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Focus on the production of quality castings and the effectiveness of the departments. 
• Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly quotas as established by the Value Stream Manager. 
• Providing hands-on direction and support for production, machining, or support service departments in the resolution of problems. 

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience or training.
• Prefer 3 to 5 years' supervisory experience
• Broad background in manufacturing-working in cnc machining & die cast, preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to train others in routine production procedures.
• Time management
• Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PLEX, and Paylocity
• Employees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessary
