Responsibilities:
Assists the Project and Site Manager and Technical Supervisor in resolving construction issues.
Coordinates site meetings, defines agendas, and prepares minutes.
Reviews schedules, procedures, and safety reports prepared by the Subcontractor.
Accountable for setting the Safety Standard on the Project. This Assistant Site Manager must lead by example and establish productivity monitoring procedures and/or processes to assure quality of work on a progressive basis.
Liaises with the Owner and Government officials as it pertains to the project.
Provides knowledge of local means and methods
Provides knowledge of heavy equipment installation
Responsible for the communications with the representatives of the Trade Labor Unions on and off site.
Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:
Class B General Building Contractor License or Class C Specialty Contractors License—C-61/D-34 (Prefabricated Equipment Contractor)
As noted at the above link: D-34 Contractors can perform and contract to perform “installations of prefabricated products/equipment, including . (b) Laboratory and medical equipment. ”
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the direction of construction site activities
It is essential/required to have an active CA Class B General Contractors License or a Class C-61/D-34 Specialty Contractors License (Prefabricated Equipment Contractor)
Knowledge of local means and methods
Knowledge of heavy equipment installation
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to perform other duties as assigned or directed.
