Dover Food Retail, Specialty Products offers a wide variety of career paths on which a creative and innovative individual can develop a successful career.  We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the daily, safe, efficient, and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role could be filled as a Maintenance Tech III depending on candidate experience level.

 

Essential Competencies:

 

• Ensure team members have required PPE, parts, tools, etc. to perform assigned tasks
• Set the example for safety, attendance, productivity, attitude, etc.
• Assign daily tasks and duties to the team
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair plant machinery and equipment to assure safe and efficient operation
• Basic understanding of low and high Voltage, 3-phase, relays, drives, CNC controllers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC
• Work with machine OEM and troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Manage spare part and consumable inventory
• Utilize a CMMS application to manage maintenance work order, repairs, and root cause analysis (ROC)
• Perform facility and equipment audits.
• Communicate technical information through use of written oral documentation
• Ensure critical information is communicated at shift turnover
• Operate forklifts and company vehicle as required
• Support Lean initiatives 6S, Kanban, Standardized Work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Kaizen
