Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for Python Engineer in Wholesale Lending Technology team that serves both Enterprise Data office (EDO) and Institutional Credit Management (ICM). The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

• Testing and debugging: Thoroughly testing code to identify and resolve issues, ensuring application stability and performance. 
• System architecture design: Contributing to the overall system architecture, including choosing appropriate Python libraries and frameworks based on project requirements. 
• Deployment and maintenance: Deploying applications to production environments and managing ongoing maintenance tasks. 
• Essential skills for a Python engineer:
• Strong Python fundamentals: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in building an enterprise scale highly componentized python based application Deep understanding of core Python syntax, data structures, object-oriented programming, and best practices. 
• Python frameworks: Familiarity with popular Python frameworks like Pydantic, FASTAPI, or Flask. 
• Database management: Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, or Neo4j using appropriate Python libraries
