Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to be located in Phoenix, AZ. Any relevant experience in culvert sizing, floodplain mapping, hydrology or hydrologic or hydraulic analysis for bridges, dams and pond and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D or ArcGIS is preferred

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Guides entry-level engineers.
• Performs work following agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design
• elements for engineering works. 
• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 2 years of employment.
• Ability to travel
• Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D or ArcGIS

Additional Information

• Relocation may be available for this role.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Occasional site travel may be required (less than 25%)

Compensation

• Exempt. The offered rate of compensation (Arizona locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The target salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000.
