Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a passionate, energetic Product Management Director who can drive the development of industry-leading AI/HPC server products for cloud and enterprise customers. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage/networking product solutions. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, you are expected to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication skills including research into vertical market solutions. You will be an owner of your product line and responsible for driving customer adoption of your products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Aggressively evangelize and position AI & compute servers, storage server, and storage sub-systems with the goal of top-line growth in relevant vertical market segments and geographical regions
• Collaborate with peer Engineering Directors and Product Managers at Supermicro to develop a strategic roadmap to make Supermicro system products a market leading offering for new workloads and innovative solutions.
• Develop and deliver a clear strategy and partner closely with marketing, engineering, and business development to provide complete server solutions to customers
• Review/generate/influence product collateral including product briefs, white papers, trade events, to create/extend awareness and understanding of the value of Supermicro's product offerings
• Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements for cloud/data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends and business requirements
• Work closely with product development, marketing, service, and sales teams, to influence the product and service portfolios for competitive advantage and incremental value to our customers
• Engage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirements
• Manage critical issues and provide solutions
• Moderate world-wide travel is required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 15 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is desirable
• Strong knowledge of computer server architecture. Networking is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed several products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life
• Experience in launching complex and innovative hardware products that meet the needs of enterprise and global scale customers
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with storytelling abilities that drive customer engagement, adoption, and market growth
