Operations-Brand Liaison Mgr

Direct liaison between Operations, Marketing, Sales and R&D to ensure continuity in new product offering consistent with goals and strategies for Wells' Dairy.
- Reviews and approves material, packaging, costing and process specification in line with the NPD process. Consistently looks for new developments, materials and/or processes for use in operations to improve products while reducing overall costs.
- Responsible for new product start ups, timely product launches, testing 1, 2, 3 methodology, tracking and improvement of efficiencies, reduction of waste and cost associated with start ups and launches.
- Responsible for all aspects of test runs which includes; test run process improvement, better utilization of equipment, material coordination and management of test run budgets.
- Serves as an integral member on product core teams ensuring that there is strong communication flow between plant operations, R&D, sales, logistics and marketing groups. Works collaboratively with the team sharing ideas and operational concerns and recommending process related quality improvements for new and existing products.
- On capacity constrained lines, recommends changes to improve production methods which may include equipment and capital to improve efficiencies. Works toward balancing lines, plant improvements, identifying cost savings and product quality improvements.
- In order to provide technical and consultative support, will travel periodically to various production facilities both within and outside of Wells network.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum eight years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least two of those years as a supervisor or manager of projects and working with cross functional teams.
- Familiar with pilot and plant equipment operations and maintenance, knowledge of capital process.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel periodically.
