Job Summary

The Sr. Imaging Services Specialist provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, and change agent. Facilitates the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, and continuing education. Will work collaboratively with imaging leadership to ensure quality improvement, staff development, safety and regulatory requirements are met. Serves as a resource to analyze monthly operational and quality metrics/statistics. Assures quality care and compliance with internal standards as well as accreditation/regulatory bodies. Collaborates with leadership to prepare and coordinate regulatory safety surveys. Supports department quality assurance and safety program. Assists leadership with regulatory education and compliance for all Radiology Staff. Develops and presents orientation program to new employees. Develops department and job specific competencies for imaging employees. Organizes, plans, and presents Radiology specific in-service programs for staff. This role supports the organization’s vision and mission promoting and providing excellence in imaging care.

Pay Range

Minimum $47.99 Midpoint $63.60 Maximum $79.20

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the specialty area including:

• Ultrasound (US)

• Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical education experience in the specialty area. Pediatrics experience strongly preferred. One (1) year of mentoring/teaching experience

Education

• Required: Graduate of accredited imaging program

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field

Training

• Required: Completion of “Introduction of Precepting” Course

Specialized Skills

• Required: Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment. Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation agency standards. Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. Interpersonal relationship, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently and maintain flexibility in an environment subject to numerous interruptions, e.g., multiple demands, inquiries, special project requirements, requiring critical deadlines. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Licensure

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Ultrasound: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography- RDMS (AB)
