Job Title
VP, Solutions ConsultingAbout your role:
You will lead solution consulting for high-value, complex payment engagements as the VP, Solution Consulting, partnering closely with Sales and Product teams to design scalable architectures and accelerate strategic deals across U.S. and regional markets. You will act as a senior solution architect and client-facing technical advisor who drives clear solution artifacts, shortens sales cycles, and ensures handoffs to delivery teams for successful implementations and measurable business outcomes.
What you'll do:
Lead end-to-end solution design and technical due diligence for complex payment deals across U.S. and regional markets, ensuring technical feasibility, commercial alignment, and client requirements traceability.
Serve as the primary solution architect and trusted advisor on strategic pursuits; present solution options to clients, evaluate client environments, and recommend architectures that reduce implementation risk and accelerate deal closure.
Own Request for Proposal (RFP) response development in partnership with Sales, Product, Legal, and Pricing — coordinate technical inputs, validate commercial assumptions, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Produce concise, consumable solution artifacts: architecture diagrams, integration flows, data mappings, business requirements documents (BRDs), Statement of Work (SOW) inputs, implementation roadmaps, and proof-of-concept (POC) designs.
Design and validate integration patterns and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), define security controls and data protection requirements, and establish implementation sequencing to support scalable delivery.
Translate client requirements into prioritized product and engineering requests, provide release impact assessments, and articulate trade-offs between client needs, product constraints, and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you'll need to have:
12+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or solution architecture within payments or adjacent fintech, designing and selling complex, multi-component payment solutions to enterprise clients.
Experience owning Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to produce technical and commercial documentation on deadline.
Experience designing and implementing APIs, integrations, data mappings, security controls, and implementation sequencing for payment platforms, gateways, or processors.
Experience presenting complex technical solutions to executive (C-level) and technical audiences and influencing commercial decision-making.
Experience with cloud platforms, microservices-based architectures, RESTful APIs, OAuth or similar authentication frameworks, JSON-based data exchanges, and CI/CD delivery practices.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, AWS/Azure cloud certifications, or equivalent professional credentials are a plus; or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
Prior implementation, solution design, or pre-sales experience with payment platforms (for example Payfare, VisionNext, or similar vendor solutions).
Experience with cross-border payment flows, regional regulatory requirements, and regional payment schemes or settlement networks.
Familiarity with modern observability, testing strategies for integrations, and building reusable playbooks, accelerators, or IP to scale solution delivery.
How you'll work:
This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
Travel: This role requires frequent travel.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jerse
