About the role

Superlanet is seeking a Senior Epic Technical Project Manager for our healthcare client in Texas.  This will be a direct-hire opportunity that will require a significant amount of on-site. The Senior Epic Technical Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional technology projects that support clinical, operational, and administrative initiatives across the healthcare system. Reporting to the Director of the IT PMO or a department leader, the Senior Epic Technical Project Manager collaborates closely with IT architects, clinical informatics, application analysts, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery. This role manages the full project lifecycle—from initiation,implementation, and operational readiness—while aligning with enterprise goals, regulatory requirements, and patient care priorities.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the end-to-end technical project lifecycle, from scope and planning through implementation and close-out

  • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and drive alignment

  • Manage technical implementations, including system integration, vendor coordination, testing, and go-live

  • Track project timelines, risks, budgets, and resources; provide regular status reporting to leadership

  • Ensure projects meet regulatory, cybersecurity, interoperability, and data governance standards

  • Document decisions, risks, and outcomes; support audits and quality initiatives

  • Mentor project managers and analysts and promote continuous improvement

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Epic Implementation Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical EHR projects in a healthcare or enterprise IT environment

  • Experience supporting EHR systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications in an Academic Medical Center setting

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Project Management, or related field

  • 7+ years of healthcare IT project management experience

  • Epic Certified Application Analyst experience

  • Experience with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid project methodologies

  • CSM, SAFe Agilist, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma certification

Benefits

The salary range below is based on the market rate and is contingent on the organization's requisition and qualifications of the candidate: $110,000 - $150,000
