A Day in the Life

Are you looking to drive strategic cost improvement initiatives for the leader in the Medical Technology industry? As a core member of the Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) team supporting Operations Innovation, you will be responsible for leading strategic and tactical cross functional teams to identify, drive and implement design and process programs associated with margin improvement benefits across various product portfolios. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with various departments to achieve cost savings, improve product quality, and enhance overall business performance.

You will lead the prioritization of cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are achieved. They will use judgment to assess tradeoffs and will hold the team accountable to their commitments.

  • Manage value creation projects from detailed planning through execution while meeting delivery, quality and cost goals

  • Lead cross functional teams including design, quality, operations, category management to ensure successful completion of projects and business goals

  • Work actively with business, sites, contract manufacturing and key strategic suppliers to meet project timing and milestones

  • Develop, communicate, and document project strategies and plans including budget, detailed schedule creation/maintenance, and KPIs

  • Perform cost/benefit analysis to determine feasibility of project in initiation process

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of business process, Engineering Program Management and/or project management experience OR advanced degree and 3+ years of business process and/or project management experience

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Degree

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience leading projects/programs including financial accountability

  • Experience working with suppliers and/or contract manufacturers

  • Financial management skills

  • Experience leading cross functional teams

  • Medical Device industry experience

  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and planning experience

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening (with all levels of the organization)

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable to work with unknowns and developing roadmaps

  • Ability to influence business leaders, stakeholders and individual contributors

  • MS Project software experience

Ability to travel occasionally

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$115,200.00 - $172,800.00
