About the job

As our new Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and owning key future capabilities of our Creative Automation Platform. You will reach out to (technical) stakeholders, manage their expectations and prioritize the work that needs to be done.

You are a vital part of one of the scrum teams and play a key role in the product management team. The product management team consists of all product owners and product designers and is led by the Product Director. Together with that team we decide on the total product roadmap based on the overarching product strategy and vision.

Your role is focused on a part of our product that is on the crossroads of media, creative and advertisement technology. A deep understanding of the media industry will help you on your journey of defining the product and the solutions that it will offer. Basic technical understanding of advertisement technology is also very helpful.

Our platform is built on modern technologies like Vue.js, Node.js, and Laravel. You will join a highly skilled team of product owners, software developers and designers who enjoy a technical challenge and care about maximizing product value and user experience.

Your main responsibilities:

• Discuss future capabilities with stakeholders

• Collaborate with designers and developers to discover solutions for problems that our clients face
• Host product-focussed scrum events (sprint planning, -review and backlog grooming)
• Discuss product strategy with the product team
• Manage product backlog and roadmap
• Support client-facing teams with their inquiries

• Define and share product release notes
• Perform a functional review on features before they ship

Besides fun to work with, you...

• Have at least 3 years of experience in a leading role within a digital media business
• Have affinity with a product owner role in a software development team

• Have an ability to make decisions to push forward
• Lead from the front and are ready to roll up your sleeves to help your team in any way
• Have strong people skills
• Know how to make a build, buy, partner-decision
• Have experience working in a SCRUM environment

• Like solving complicated problems in a simple way
• Care deeply about the product you are building
