By joining our Modal Programs Branch as an Engineer-In-Training I in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) and City Government, gain experience in Consultant Management, and assist district personnel across the State of Kentucky.

- Provide assistance for the Bicycle and Pedestrian program.
- Coordinate and provide training for Bicycle and Pedestrian safety.
- Review policy and design of transportation facilities.
- Collaborate with the Forecasting and Modeling team.
- Experience with the transportation planning process.
- Experience with bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.
- Written and verbal communication skills.

Graduate of a college or university with an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Certification as an Engineer-In-Training recognized by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possess and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title will perform duties in an office setting as well as in a field setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
