Cerner Patient Accounting Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant you will consult with clients on service line workflow and guide them through interdependencies and design decision impacts. You will provide solution oversight, direction and expertise to stakeholders. You will drive client-specific configuration design to meet workflow requirements and make recommendations to clients. You will mitigate solution risks and issues. You will execute workflow and process improvement strategies. You will lead client meetings and events, as well as drive internal team initiatives. Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support end-to-end revenue cycle implementations with a focus on Patient Accounting for federal healthcare clients (IHS, DoD, and potentially VA).
• Configure and customize Cerner Millennium solutions to meet the specific needs of federal reimbursement models and operational workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing hands-on support during deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Adapt to evolving client needs in fast-paced environments, ensuring alignment with government regulations and project goals.

 

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Cerner Patient Accounting, ideally in a federal healthcare setting. 
• Experience with Oracle Health Patient Accounting may also be required
• Proven track record in Cerner Millennium implementation, configuration, and optimization.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate federal reimbursement processes, including insurance and billing workflows.
• Direct experience supporting DoD or VA healthcare projects is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to both commercial and federal revenue cycle environments, demonstrating adaptability and a broad understanding of industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and resolve complex issues efficiently.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $25.48 to $60.63 per hour; from: $53,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
