The Department of Research Oncology is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join the Project Management group. This role is a key bridge between scientific innovation and strategic execution, serving as the linchpin between scientific teams and strategic goals. The Opportunity:

  • Partner with Project Leads to discover and assess the clinical value of new therapies.

  • Articulate, monitor, and amend team goals, driving the team toward key deliverables and identifying scientific questions.

  • Ensure timely and data-driven decision making by navigating governance and facilitating proactive risk evaluation and mitigation.

  • Lead team effectiveness by acting as a steward of the Project Team System, managing team operations, facilitating meeting planning, and ensuring seamless information flow.

  • Foster inclusive team dynamics to maximize scientific collaboration.

Operational Excellence & Planning

  • Execute high-quality, integrated plans for research projects, applying best practices.

  • Track resource allocation to align project needs with the portfolio prioritization framework.

  • Maintain strategic project schedule for projects; analyze and manage the strategic critical path.

  • Identify and escalate cross-project challenges and bottlenecks, providing expert operational support.

  • Ensure strategic project inputs are provided into business planning processes and reports.

  • Prepare for entry into Development, partnering deeply with Early Development functions to ensure smooth transitions.

Who You Are:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required; an advanced degree in a scientific field is strongly preferred.

  • Experience: Generally over six (6) years of industry experience with relevant research discovery experience.

  • Scientific and Technical Acumen: Technical proficiency in Biology and Drug Discovery, with the ability to understand the organization and the therapeutic context.

  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Science-minded professional who is highly organized and proactive in using critical thinking to navigate ambiguous situations and solve complex problems without bias.

  • Communication & Influence: An excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively across leadership and stakeholders, managing conflict and influencing others without formal authority.
