Reporting to the Marketing Director, Brand Managers own their Canadian brands. They create and execute brand operating plans, all commercial programs and manage the delivery of annual business objectives for their brands. In addition, the Brand Manager provides leadership to cross functional and agency partners.
In this role, you will:
Drives the delivery of business objectives for the brand including net sales, operating profit, gross margin, and market share.
Leads the development and presentation of the Annual Operating Plan for the business including Strategic Business Plans, Annual Business Plans and Marketing Activation Plans.
Acts as the key marketing contact on cross-functional team interacting regularly with Sales, Finance, Business Insights, Market Research and US stakeholders.
Serves as the key contact for all advertising/integrated marketing agency relationships.
Provides project and/or marketing leadership on innovation projects relative to Canada.
Engages and aligns with customer teams & sales strategy to ensure delivery of plan.
Identifies and develops relevant consumer and/or shopper insights.
Effectively sets & manages Advertising & Consumer Promotion budgets.
Effectively leads the development and presentation of Innovation Summits and long-term business building sessions with the customer.
Leads ad hoc projects as required by the business.

Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field
At least 5 years prior Marketing experience, ideally in CPG
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Experience in the development of consumer-centric communication plans that connect with our audience through all funnels of the Paid-Earned-Shared-Owned (PESO) media journey
Demonstrated curiosity that has led to the development of a new consumer insight-based brand campaign, commercial program and/or product innovation
Easily manages through adversity and ambiguity to maintain team focus and drive business results
Demonstrates can-do attitude to find ways to break down growth barriers
Anticipate future trends and consequences accurately and create breakthrough strategies and competitive plans accordingly
Ability to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
