The Warehouse and Equipment Repair Specialist is responsible for maintaining warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and equipment. This role also includes inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing warehouse equipment to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Store materials and supplies in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
- Prepare and stage materials for shipment or internal use.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, hand tools, and other machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct repairs using appropriate tools and replacement parts.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
- Maintain logs and records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all equipment and operations comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Participate in regular safety training and drills.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or electrical repair preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations and/or equipment maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse tools, machinery, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and maintenance tracking.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions typical of warehouse environments.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, hands-on setting.
- Requires working with tools and heavy machinery.
- Occasional extended hours during peak operational periods.
