The position of Assistant Warehouse Supervisor is within our Government Distribution-Toxicology division located in Portsmouth, Virginia.
As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you will plan, organize, and monitor the printing, picking, and shipping of all point-of-care and lab supply orders for the Government Vertical. You will also manage daily sales order uploads and maintain payroll for lab supply employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of government employees.
- Monitor daily reports, including open order and backorder reports.
- Meet all site goals as directed by the Site Director.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across Government Lab and POCT verticals.
- Draft work instructions and standard operating procedures in Ensur.
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and sales to resolve customer requests.
- Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and uphold health, safety, and security in the workplace at all times.
- Train, coach, and provide feedback to employees.
- Oversee the printing, picking, packing, shipping, and quality-checking processes.
- Work with management on NPIs or chain of custody form revisions.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by managing a cleaning schedule.
- Assist the site leader in coordinating, organizing, and managing special projects.
- Create, implement, monitor, and manage all work instructions and procedures in the Warehouse Government Department.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
- Associate degree and or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience along with leadership experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/APO and Business Warehouse data usage), analysis, and presentation.
