JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Onsite Resource Team Member is responsible for utilizing the NextGen system and various other programs to complete daily duties and responsible for ensuring that all patient orders to be completed outside of the practice are processed and the most accurate medical records are obtained prior to the patient visit. 

  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors tasks from providers and other staff for patient orders, imaging and out of office referrals. 
  • Process outside testing, referrals, and appointments for patients. 
  • Checks patients out which includes scheduling follow-up appointments, scheduling testing, printing PT and x-ray scripts to be given to the patient, faxing MRI requests to AAI, tasking medical records for finalized office notes if needed to send MRI, ensuring all orders from the visit have been placed and sent to the patient coordinators, and completion of all necessary tasks related to the appointment. 
  • Communicating with the appointments department or audiology to be sure all follow up related to appointments have been completed. 
  • Scanning documents into patient charts.
  • Initiates telephone encounters or making proper notation in charts.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or team lead. 
  • Complies and adheres to all HIPAA regulations
  • Requires multi-tasking capabilities
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with appropriate documentation.
     

Requirements

    

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in medical office and/or customer service preferred. 
  • Proficient computer skills including ability to master the office’s practice management software. 
  • Consistent professional conduct, meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking skills and a positive and collaborative attitude are essential. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals. 

COMPENSATION: The compensation range for this position is $17.00 to $23.00. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
